The more I give, the more I receive pain,
Kindness opens doors to heartache again.
I’m fed up, feeling trapped in this cycle of strife,
My God, why have You forsaken my life?
I reach for the light, but shadows pull me back,
The weight of disappointment paints my world black.
Promises of joy seem to fade with each day,
While the good that I offer gets lost in decay.
I wonder, is it wrong to hope and to care?
When the kindness I show brings only despair.
But still, I hold on to the flicker of grace,
A whisper of strength that won’t be erased.
So I’ll rise from the ashes, defy the dark night,
Finding courage in scars, embracing the fight.
Though the path may be heavy, and the burdens are real,
I’ll keep pushing forward, for I know how to heal.
For in every disappointment, there’s wisdom to find,
A chance to grow stronger, to free my mind.
And maybe, just maybe, through all this pain,
Good will emerge, like a flower after rain.

God’s promises
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” – Hebrews 13:5 NKJV
Then Moses called Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and of good courage, for you must go with this people to the land which the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall cause them to inherit it. And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” – Deuteronomy 31:8 NKJV
Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ – Isaiah 41:10 NKJV
